Schull is a lively village situated on the Mizen Head Peninsuala between the foothills of Mount Gabriel and Schull Harbour and is the perfect spot for a break away. Although small, this village comes alive in the summer and there is a large range of accommodation, restaurants, bars, shops and activities to keep all visitors entertained.
Our Ferries depart from Schull pier to the spectacular Island of Cape Clear & Fastnet Rock Day tour from Schull including a stop on Cape Clear Island. Departures from June-August. We will have some September departures.

Cape Clear Ferries’ Carraig Mhór
Schull situated on the Mizen Head Peninsula is two hours from Kerry Airport, 1hr 40mins from Killarney or Cork City and half an hour from Mizen Head, Ireland’s most southerly point.
Schull is serviced during high seasons by Cape Clear Ferries’ newest fast ferry ‘Carraig Aonair’ formerly ‘Spirit of Doolin’, with a capacity for 200 passengers.
The passenger ferry features airline-style seating, large saloon windows, air conditioning, a heated saloon and a large viewing deck and upper deck seating for the best views. There is also a bar and snack shop onboard, Journey time is reduced to 25 minutes.
Toilets are available in the harbour before you embark as well as on the ferry itself.
Along with our Schull to Cape Clear Island service we also operate our Fastnet Rock Lighthouse Day tours that take in both the iconic Fastnet Rock Lighthouse and a 2-3hr stop on Cape Clear Island from Schull pier, weather permitting – June – August.
