Because of Cape Clear Island’s location as an island off an island, its weather is often milder than mainland Ireland.

Lying south-west of County Cork, this Irish-speaking island is the southern-most inhabited part of Ireland. The weather here can often be completely different to the mainland so it is worth checking the weather forecast before setting sail for Cape Clear.

Parking

Arrive early to give plenty of time for parking and we will be boarding 15 minutes before departure.

No parking on the piers.
There is free parking in Baltimore and Schull villages, but please beware that it get very busy during peak season so allow adequate time.
Buggy friendly.
