Accomodation
Although Cape Clear is a small island it has lots to offer regarding accommodation, pubs and other services. Whether it be a round trip, a day trip an overnight or perhaps a week long, Cape Clear has it all. There is a Camping & Yurt site, Cléirehaven, an approved Fáilte Ireland B&B Árd na Gaoithe, Holiday homes Cape Clear Holiday Cottages and some Airbnb offerings. These do book up during peak season so best to plan ahead.
Pubs and other services
There are also 3 pubs on the Island, a shop (Siópa Beag) and restaurant in the Harbour and of course Mary’s Chipper for the final bag of chips and a coffee before the journey back to the mainland.
Hidden Corners
The Island also has some interesting ‘hidden corners’. These include Mara Farm ( Pet farm & cafe), Cléire Goats ( purveyors of the best goats ice cream), Cléire Lasmuigh, a provider of kayaks to explore magnificent South Harbor.
